We are looking to hire both a full time and part time waking night residential support worker for our six bedroom reidential care home based in West Molesey. The Beech House is a home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and offers a high level of support to the children in their care. We are looking for both full time or part time staff, which is anything from 2-5 nights per week.

Are you passionate about working with vulnerable children and helping to shape their future?

Would you get job satisfaction from helping a young person thrive?

Are you interested in working for a company that offers regular supervision, career progression and exciting training?

Are you a team player and enjoy a challenge?

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

We provide a safe and therapeutic space for our young people to better understand themselves, their past and build confidence to focus on the future.

Cameron & Cooper Limited is an innovative provider of specialist care, support and education to some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK, working closely with local authority partners to enable our young people to thrive, achieve independence and live more fulfilling lives. Our services include Cherry Blossom, The Beech House, The Beech House School and Willow Lodge with plans to open further homes.

You will be working within a team in order to provide a safe and secure home for young people aged between 10 and 18. Promoting a caring environment which provides children and young people with a high standard of specialised care, meeting individual needs and ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity and rights to privacy, independence and choices are met.

This role will involve ensuring the young people are looked after safe and happy over night. Helping with bedtime routines, cleaning, health and safety checks and keeping on top of the logs and administration. You will work closely with the team to ensure the house is safeguarded over night.

If there are any issues over night, such as a missing young person, you will need to liaise with the police, out of hours social work team and keep all reports written up accurately.

Full training and induction is provided, with the expectation to attend compulsory training sessions and staff meetings, which are held during the day.

The hours are 10pm- 8am which gives time for a good handover in the evening and morning with the day staff.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience of working night shifts within a social care or similar setting. Someone who has a good understanding of safeguarding, and is able to write up reports and logs. Coupled with good communication skills, for doing good quality hand overs to the day staff and potentially other professionals

Due to the location of the house, you are likely to need a form of transport to get to work, as the public transport links are not very strong in that area.

Please note Cameron & Cooper Limited are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employer and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Cameron & Cooper Limited is an equal opportunities employer
