Transport Operator Bridgwater £31,427.04

We are recruiting for a Transport Operator to join our client in Bridgwater. This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 09:30am-19:00pm

Salary £31,427.04 per annum

Your role will be to develop and implement plans for the routing of company drivers and vehicles, ensuring all relevant resources are deployed cost-effectively and efficiently.

As a Transport Operator the role will involve:

• Build loads and plan routes efficiently and effectively
• Regularly review and update plans and communicate with all relevant colleagues
• Quote prices for movement of loads upon request
• Ensure all company systems are updated accurately and on a timely basis and relevant paperwork is in place
• Work closely with workshop colleagues to ensure resource requirements and service schedules are met
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Experience we are looking for in our Transport Operator:

• Qualified to Level 3 Supply Chain Operator or equivalent
• Experience of working in a team-based office environment, preferably in a customer-facing role
• Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
• Extensive knowledge and application of transport regulations and health & safety procedures
