Project Supply Chain Lead Wakefield South Yorkshire 6 month plus contract circa £50-55,000PA / equivalent
Contract role 6 months plus based in Crofton South Yorkshire
An exciting and rewarding challenge working with one of the countries largest employers you will be responsible as below for ensuring seamless availability of all materials in line with companies processes and procedures ensuring that trains are kept, maintained and services to support the needs of train operators, the business and those of the traveling public.

Job Description and Person Specification
To be the site supply chain lead and first point of contact for the Traincare operation for all Material related objectives, opportunities and concerns.
Communicate and visualise all material requirements to the Supply Chain pillars to deliver full material availability for all material demand streams for the related train Fleet.
Represent and provide onsite support to the Supply Chain pillars to implement process's, governance and communication, including;
Standardisation
Lead the establishment and continued development of standard process implementation.
Support the implementation of standard processes to Depot in line with the Matrix organisation.
Establish KPI's for areas of standardisation

Material forecasting & C-BoM
Control of the project material spend & BTG.
Drive unplanned material costs down through engagement of the Supply Chain Functions.
Material Cost Variance Analysis and reporting using the Material TAC model and associated KPI's and reports.
Support the development & maintenance of an accurate SAP CBOM (standard format) to drive material forecasting, planning.

Optimise inventory levels ensuring availability.
Stores, Warehousing & Logistics Management
Support the safe storage of materials and consumables for the Depot.
Communication of logistics management processes to secure the supply base.
Ensure that Perpetual Inventory policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
Develop appropriate KPIs to measure performance to drive culture and behaviour.
Support strategic locations to enable all fleets to be furnished with their requirements.
Employ principles of lineside materials and JIT delivery.

Materials Management
Establish KPI's to monitor the management of Inventory settings and parameters.
Using the TAC analysis model ensure a clear and transparent governance process is in place to identify potential project over or underspends (PCP).
Ensure inventory targets are achieved.
