Job Objective

Be able to conduct service, fault finding, repair and change out of/on the given MV switchgear and protection relays if required.

Conduct protection relays adjustment of settings and full function test protections relays.

Have the relevant training from the OEM and as minimum to have 5 years of experience within this area.

It is predominantly Siemens and Schnider MV switchgear that are present on the sites.

Minimum 5 years experience in the role of MV switchboard engineer for offshore projects.

Provide technical support for Operations team. Providing technical overview of work scopes and estimate manpower, equipment requirements for the purpose of our Proposal to the client. Mentoring staff, offering your wider knowledge and understanding of our services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Electrical Technical Support and advice to Personnel.

Actively offering support for Business growth and on occasions attending client meetings.

Prepare Scope of Works, Operational Test Procedures and review/amend Field Service Reports.

Ensures all electrical work activities are carried out safely to a high standard under the permit to work system where applicable.

Actively participate in company safety management system & competency management System.

Involved in loading out of offshore equipment premobilisation.

Assist in implementing any changes required to facilitate improvements to team efficiency.

Provide in-house training and mentoring Technicians.

Develop own training particularly Competency Assessor course.

Assist in maintaining tooling and equipment offshore and onshore.

Promote excellent customer relations at the worksite.

Assist in coordinating and participate in the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.

Offshore, onshore work for clients and overseas work will be required.

Strong experience and technical ability with high voltage systems, power generation, switchgear and controls.

Knowledge and competence

Must possess good skills within the service line and have a general understanding of other service functions.

Minimum 10 years competence in the electrical industry.

Must be knowledgeable in HSE standards, guidelines for personnel.

Offshore certification.

HNC Electrical Engineering

Competent with Microsoft Office.
