Tradebe Healthcare require a Maintenance Fitter for our new plant in Queenslie, Glasgow.
This is a great opportunity to start a new career in the Healthcare Waste Industry working on a new site, initially to support the installation of a sterilisation plant.
Hours and Benefits:
£32-35K base salary, plus bonus of up to 7.5% per annum

Call out allowance @ £133p/m.
Overtime paid at time and a half.
33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.

Ideally time served with a City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
Experience with the maintenance & overhaul of rotating plant, (pumps, gearbox s, hydraulics, steam systems, conveyors, shredders, etc.)
Ideally proficient in carrying out of welded repairs and simple fabrications.
Familiarity working with steam systems & the maintenance of equipment to the compliance of PSSR.
User of Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.
Used to working within a Safety Management System (Permit to Work).
Main Purpose of role:
Initially to support the installation of new plant then ongoing maintenance.
Completion of necessary work permits and associated systems to allow safe maintenance & repair works to be carried out.
To promote and maintain good housekeeping standards across the whole site.
To suggest opportunities for training and development.
Provide proactive engineering support and knowledge to the business.
Work with company systems such as CMMS, SAP, AutoCAD etc.
Keep accurate records of work planned & completed for preventative & corrective maintenance, including consumables for both.
Participate wherever possible in the design & installation of new equipment and processes.
Work with and in compliance to written maintenance and operational procedures, revision & update of such as may require.
Contribute to achieving the sites and the Companies safety, production and performance objectives.
Proactively analyse and interpret data (fault finding) to resolve breakdowns or problems and propose solutions to reduce failures or defects.
Be available for a reasonable amount of overtime including out of hours call outs to enable the company to meet its production needs.
Plan the daily and weekly workload to ensure all tasks are completed.
Familiar with the use of CMMS software.
Basic Electrical circuit understanding and fault finding.
Working within the waste industry.
Familiarity with PLC logic and associated control system.
Experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic circuits.
