Hays education has been approached by a high school in the Wigan area, looking to fill a Geography Teaching Job after Easter. This is a great school with a positive and caring ethos. They are now looking for a committed individual to join their well-established Geography team.
Your new role
This role will start from Easter and will involve taking on full class responsibilities, so this will include full planning and delivering of lessons as well as marking work and assessing pupil progress. You will need to work closely with the Geography department in order to deliver the curriculum in a fun and engaging way across KS3 and KS4. This would be a great role for an NQT/ECT who is looking to develop their teaching skills within the specialist subject. You should be able to support and motivate your pupils and commit yourself fully to the role.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. T his could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within a high school environment.
