Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are currently looking for an Electronic Assembler to join one of our established clients in Stone, Staffordshire.
Our client manufactures and distributes medical and laboratory products worldwide. Your role will be the assembly testing and inspection of a variety of equipment products such as hot plate stirrers, light weight electrical units, and heaters.
Electronic Assembler Responsibilities:
To assemble, test and inspect the electrical equipment - usage of test rigs, checking RPM, amps and voltage. To record all job data in log book and sign off finished products conforming to standards on final inspection sheet.
To set and operate automatic wire machines, including setting wire feed and cutters and to control for length and quantity. To inspect wires and crimps as required.
To assemble and test larger equipment such as industrial units and ovens.
Tools used include crimpers, cutters, soldering irons, files, screwdrivers, pilers etc. Information supplied from drawings, assembly manuals and job cards.
To assemble a variety of miscellaneous metal work in a light engineering environment.
To be responsible for housekeeping in immediate work area.
No formal qualifications required, however hand and eye co-ordination required during all assembly and testing.
Any qualification in electronics would be advantageous i.e. HNC/ONC.
Hours and Pay:
Starting rate of £10.40/hour
Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:30
