Cold Form Production Operative
Due to business growth, we are currently looking for Cold Form Production Operatives to join our busy team in Royston!
The successful candidate will be trained in all areas of the cold form department including training to operate hydraulic presses, hand adjusting various products, polishing, and cleaning of products using various air tools, overseeing the heat treatment process, final inspection of the products.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: from £10.00 per hour up £12.00 per hour depending on experience.
Cold Form Production Operative Duties:
Identifying and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Team Leaders
Accurate interpretation and completion of production route cards
Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
Perform all reasonable requests made by management
Cold Form Production Operative Requirements:
Must have the right to live and work in the UK is essential
Sheet metal / light fabrication experience would be an advantage
Experience of working with Aluminium is beneficial
Experience of use of hand tools within a manufacturing environment would be advantage
Able to read and interpret technical documentation, visual aids, and data sheets
Previous experience as a Forklift Truck Driver (FLTD) would be an advantage
Previous experience of working and using a hydraulic press would be an advantage
Ability to work under own initiative with limited supervision accurately and timely
Health & Safety conscious
Flexible (overtime when required)
Willing to engage in continuous improvement activities
