Join our TFS team within our Chemtech division in United Kingdom as Buyer to help us take ourbusiness plans and strategies to the next level. Sulzer are looking for a strong goal-oriented candidatewho has the aptitude and leadership skills to become responsible for end-to-end procurementaccountability. Could you improve vendor management, whilst focusing on reducing spend andoptimising stock, all to support achievement of our business plan and operational demands? In this role you will be accountable for:
Raise purchase orders in SAP
Obtain vendor quotations, compile bid analyses and provide recommendations
Select and qualify new vendors for business optimisation
Develop and monitor vendor performance through application of KPIs and reporting
Maintain vendor data in SAP
Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to meet purchase requirements for operational projects andother business requirements
Actively participate in selected LEAN projects to deliver operational improvements
Participate in sales/operations handover meetings for projects with purchasing requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Minimum 5 years proven experience in strategic direct and indirect purchasing or sourcing
Desirable work experience within oil & gas segment
Comprehensive experience in SAP
Working knowledge of LEAN principles
Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001/ISO45001, VCA-SCC
Strong customer service skills, with exceptional communication, including negotiating
