We are recruiting Bid Manager to co-ordinate the firm during the bid process and have project management oversight to deliver bids on time. They will advise on bid strategy, messaging, structure and overall content direction to create impactful bids that address the clients' requirements.
The Bid Manager will also have line management responsibilities. This involves day-to-day operational direction/management of a Bids Executive, including work allocation; reviewing and feedback; managing absences; mentoring and coaching; probation/inductions, and guidance on bids best practice.
Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Candidate OverviewWe are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
- Work with stakeholders to gain an understanding of the Energy sector strategy
- Taking full responsibility for managing strategic opportunities at tender and presentation stages
- Undertaking opportunity analysis - is this viable / is the bid in line with firm and sector strategy
- Organising kick-off meetings, to guide relevant stakeholders to prepare a strategy and ensure responsibilities are allocated
- Providing strategic advice and coaching partners
- Collating scoping questions and being involved in the scoping call/meeting
- Coaching and mentoring a Bids Executive
- Work prioritisation/allocation
- Performance review meetings and feedback
- Content management - maintaining and enhancing pre-written content and other standard materials to expand and improve our automated content library
